Consumer Sale Day at FTA Fashion Hub Promotes Business-To-Consumer Trading
As part of the ongoing partnership between the Apparel and Textile Manufacturers Federation (ATMF) and Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) for the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) programme supported by Leicester City Council, a new and exciting initiative is helping Leicester’s manufacturers connect directly with consumers.
Through this collaboration, FEL’s Fashion Hub at Phoenix House has opened its doors to give local factories valuable consumer-facing opportunities, a key step in supporting their transition from business-to-business (B2B) to business-to-consumer (B2C) trading.
Each month, participating factories drop off their deadstock fabrics and garments at the ATMF offices, along with stock sheets and pricing information. These materials are then made available to the public through a one-day flash sale, offering a fresh way for manufacturers to repurpose surplus stock while engaging directly with the local community.
Although this initiative is still in its early stages, it’s already gaining momentum. The most recent sale, 30th October 2025, saw over 30 visitors exploring the offerings, with fabrics selling particularly well, alongside a selection of garments. Prices remain extremely affordable, reflecting the deadstock nature of the products and making sustainable fashion accessible to everyone.

The next direct-to-consumer event will take place at the LCB Depot, 31 Rutland Street, Leicester, on 28th November 2025. This special pre-Christmas sale will focus on supporting owner-makers and local creatives, providing them with high-quality materials at excellent value while encouraging the reuse of textiles.
All these services are provided free of charge to Leicester’s creatives and manufacturers, thanks to the UKSPF “Leicester Forward” programme, which aims to boost local enterprise, sustainability, and innovation.
