On 15th October, Jo Bean from Leicester’s Fashion Hub visited Shahtex to discuss upskilling workers and learners so that they are industry ready in specific production techniques. Shahtex is a local manufacturer creating circular knit garments at an incredibly high standard using Nylon 66 DuPont.

Working and responding to industry requirements Fashion Hub can provide flexible Skills Bootcamp tuition to get individuals up to speed. The Skills Bootcamp course in Garment Production Techniques takes place over 4-weeks and provides participants with fundamental knowledge in a range of industrial manufacturing processes.

Following Jo’s visit, we are now recruiting for four machinists for the family run, circular knitting company. Based in Leicester the Fashion Hub team will support with training.
