Severn Trent organised a careers fair on Wednesday 25th March 2026 at Leicester Tigers Stadium.
The event aimed to bring together employers looking for new employees under one roof. It provided an opportunity for those looking for work/training opportunities to see what was available. With over 35 employers/training providers, from HMP Leicester, NEXT, and Leicestershire Police to Leicester City Council, Leicestershire County Council, and Leicester College. The event also offered CV writing workshops, as well as workshops on interview preparation/first impressions.
FTA Fashion Hub Administrator, Sanna Bux, attended the event to promote the FTA’s courses, as well as the Leicester Made event on 24th April 2026. She said: “It was wonderful to meet and speak with the attendees and introduce our courses to them, such as how they can help to improve mental health, providing a creative output, as well as providing skills for employability. I was able to engage with over 30 individuals, some being job coaches therefore reaching more individuals in the long run.
“With this event, I also had the opportunity to learn more about other service providers, giving them an opportunity to teach me more about what they do so that I could pass on that information to our students. This knowledge will particularly be helpful when offering end-of-programme information, advice, and guidance to our students.”
