Since the Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) team were given the go-ahead on the new premises for the FC Fashion Technology Academy, it’s been all hands to the pump – preparing the space and educational agenda. As you can see from the photos, the refit to create a fully equipped learning, production and repair facility is coming along nicely.

We are thrilled to announce that we will be ready to open on Tuesday 27th August and will also offer a Fashion Studio for sampling and production along with a repairs service with the United Repair Centre.

Assistant Manager Divya Kamath said: “I am extremely happy that we have won two contracts, including one for the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) to continue with our delivery of skills and qualifications. The team and I are really looking forward to building on the early success of the Academy, and as we have already seen with previous individuals the FTA not only delivers on qualifications and skills, but helps to build confidence, gives direction and supports positive mental wellbeing.

“We are really grateful to Leicester City Council for providing continued support and we will begin delivering our courses from the heart of Leicester from Tuesday 27th August.”

Fashion-Enter Ltd Founder Jenny Holloway added: “Over the last two weeks there has been intense activity to ensure Phoenix House is ready to open its doors on Tuesday 27th August, with a formal launch planned for the following month. Huge thank-you to everyone involved including Tim Snowball, Alan May and Triumph Needle Company crew, TJ Electrics, Andrew Kitchen and of course the amazing Divya.

“We are so ready to deliver on the UKSPF funded program for skills. The new space is much larger so we shall shortly be opening a Fashion Studio for sampling and pattern making, plus a repair centre with United Repair Centre! Let the good times roll!”
