On Tuesday 7th March Fashion-Enter Ltd Deputy CEO Jackie Bertram attended a careers festival held at South Wigston Campus for North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire college.
The event provided a great opportunity to speak to students about further education opportunities in fashion and textiles and the courses available at the FC Fashion Technology Academy in Leicester. Many students were keen to discuss apprenticeship routes as an alternative to going to university – the opportunity to earn whilst learning and to gain vital firsthand work experience was of keen interest at the event.

Along with fashion and textile apprenticeships the FCFTA Leicester is delighted to offer Patterns Level 1 & 2 qualifications at its Academy on Stone Bridge Street. Enrolling now you can learn pattern and garment construction along with design principles and illustration techniques.
Ikram/Learner said: “I just finished the Level 1 stitching course and moving on to patterns has been an exciting journey. I get to bridge the gap between design and garment construction and learn from designers that have been in the trade for 20+ years.”
