Fashion Hub's Skills Bootcamp in Action With Barrie Knitwear

On 12th & 13th February, Fashion Hub Leicester brought two groups of 6 individuals from their Skills Bootcamp programme to Barrie knitwear for a job trial as a trainee linker.

Skills Bootcamps are flexible courses lasting 4 weeks (72 hours). They give individuals the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and then fast-track to an interview with an employer.

Fashion Hub Manager, Divya Kamath (pictured above second from right) said: “I’m very proud of all of our Skills Bootcamp learners. We split them up into two groups – Group A the red group, and Group B the blue group, while one group was being interviewed the other was having a trial on the linking machines for 45-minutes with Lorraine and Semra.

“It’s so lovely to see Ravina here who was one of our previous learner’s and has worked with Barrie now for the last 18-months.

“We are wishing all the learners the very best!”
