The FCFTA Leicester is relocating to a larger premises at Phoenix House on King Street and with the move comes a generous donation courtesy of Boohoo.

While it is never happy news that a factory is closing, Boohoo has generously offered equipment; industrial overlockers and display cabinets, from its Thurmaston Lane site to support learners and small scale production at the FCFTA Leicester.

FEL CEO, Jenny Holloway comments: “I would just like to say on behalf of Fashion-Enter Ltd a huge thank-you to Boohoo. We tried to work with Boohoo a few times on apprenticeships, as an example. That was before Covid and unfortunately no employer was taking on apprentices at that time. So this is a very sincere thank-you to the CEO of Boohoo Group PLC, John Lyttle, in particular, for donating their machines from their factory to FCFTA Leicester. John these are going to go to very, very good use. We are expanding our Fashion Technology Academy, we’re increasing the amount of qualifications we are doing from Level 1 all the way through to Level 5. If you want to come and see us, anyone from Boohoo in the future, you are very warmly welcome and thank-you again.”
