Job Title: Flatbed Machinist
Location: Avinci Ltd, LE1
Salary: Minimum wage for first 3 months
Job Summary: Avinci are seeking a skilled Flatbed Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain flatbed machining equipment to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and experience working with various materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate flatbed machining equipment (CNC or manual).
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders.
- Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
- Monitor machining processes to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience operating flatbed or CNC machining equipment.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling.
- Familiarity with precision measurement instruments.
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of different materials
- Familiarity with ERP/job tracking systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
