Supporting Emerging Talent: Leicester Fashion Hub x ATMF – Siobhan

The Leicester Fashion Hub, working in collaboration with the Apparel and Textile Manufacturing Federation (ATMF), continues to support emerging designers by bridging the gap between creative vision and practical production. Through expert guidance, workshops, and access to UK manufacturing knowledge, the partnership helps designers turn ideas into commercially viable collections.

One such designer is Siobhan, who runs a high-end dress brand and has approached the Leicester Fashion Hub for support in developing samples for her range. With a strong background in running her own wedding dress boutique, Siobhan identified an opportunity to create her own label. While her experience lies primarily on the business side of fashion, she is now seeking specialist support to bring her design ideas to life.

The Fashion Hub / ATMF will work closely with Siobhan on pattern development and sample creation, helping to translate her concepts into finished garments. She also attended the Fibres to Fabric workshop by Niall Maplesden, founder of The Knowledge Nexus Limited at the Fashion Hub on 19th December, gaining valuable insight into materials and manufacturing processes. In the New Year, she will further build her industry knowledge by attending the New Designers: How to Work Successfully with UK Factories in-person event with Caroline Trend.
